STORY

The S-10 went on sale as a 1982 model and took over from the Isuzu-built LUV, beating Ford's Ranger to market by about a year, according to Autoblog. By 1988 the engine list ran from a 2.5-liter four to a 2.8-liter V6 rated at 125 hp and a 4.3-liter V6. The second generation arrived for the 1994 model year, and Chevrolet stopped building the pickup in North America in 2004, when the Colorado replaced it.
