2500HD 6.6 Duramax High Country

STORY

The Silverado HD arrived for 2001 with the Duramax 6600 diesel, rated at 300 hp and 520 lb-ft with the five-speed Allison 1000. Chevrolet showed the 2020 Silverado HD in December 2018 and gave the full specifications in February 2019. The 6.6-liter Duramax V8 diesel was rated at 445 hp with an Allison 10-speed automatic, and a new 6.6-liter gasoline V8 made 401 hp and 464 lb-ft. Maximum towing rose 52 percent to 35,500 lb, a figure for one setup, a regular-cab, two-wheel-drive, dual-rear-wheel diesel.
