Silverado 1500 High Country 6.2 (K2XX)

STORY

The Silverado took over from the C/K trucks as a 1999 model, and the second generation reached dealers in the fourth quarter of 2006 as a 2007 model. The 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 arrived for the 2014 model year rated at 355 hp and 383 lb-ft on the SAE basis. The truck after it was revealed in January 2018 at the Detroit show as the 2019 Silverado, with revised 5.3 and 6.2-liter V8s and a new 3.0-liter Duramax inline-six diesel. The 10-speed automatic was first available with the 6.2 V8. In March 2019 Chevrolet confirmed the diesel at an SAE-certified 277 hp and 460 lb-ft, priced $2,495 above the 5.3 V8.
