SS 6.2 LS3 V8

STORY

The SS was Chevrolet's US version of the Holden VF Commodore SS, shown on February 16, 2013 at Daytona before the Daytona 500 as a 2014 model. It was built with the Commodore at Holden's Elizabeth plant in South Australia and used the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 rated at 415 hp and 415 lb-ft, with a six-speed automatic and paddle shifters at launch. A six-speed manual was later optional. The SS ran through the 2017 model year, with fewer than 20,000 sold, and the Elizabeth line that supplied it was scheduled to close at the end of 2017.
