STORY

Chevrolet introduced the Tahoe for 1995 on the GMT400 platform, effectively taking the place of the full-size K5 Blazer that ended production in 1994. The two-door rode a 111.5-inch wheelbase and the four-door was six inches longer. The 1996 Vortec 5.7 V8 raised output to 255 hp from 200 hp for the earlier throttle-body engine. The fifth generation for 2021 brought a new independent rear suspension, a body 6.7 inches longer, 25.5 cubic feet behind the third row, and a turbodiesel option.
