STORY

The Venture was Chevrolet's front-drive minivan for the 1997 through 2005 model years, replacing the Lumina APV. It rode on GM's U platform, developed with Opel, which sold its own version as the Sintra in Europe. US twins were the Pontiac Trans Sport, which became the Montana for 1999, and the Oldsmobile Silhouette. The 3.4 L V6 was rated at 185 hp by 2002, the year Versatrak all-wheel drive arrived on the LT and Warner Bros. Edition, and the Uplander, introduced as a 2005 model, took its place.
