E-Class

1983 – 1984

The Chrysler E-Class was a mid-size sedan sold for 1983 and 1984 on a stretched K-car platform, named for its E-body designation. It slotted between the LeBaron and the Fifth Avenue and was closely related to the New Yorker of the same period before being repackaged as the Plymouth Caravelle.

The Story

Why the E-Class matters

The Chrysler E-Class was a short-lived mid-size sedan sold for 1983 and 1984, based on a stretched version of the K-car platform. It sat between the LeBaron and the Fifth Avenue in size and took over the role of the Newport. Chrysler dropped it after 1984, and the same car returned as the Plymouth Caravelle for 1985.
