The Chrysler Laser was a front-wheel-drive sport coupe launched for 1984 as the upscale twin of the Dodge Daytona, both built on Chrysler's G-body derived from the K-car platform. It was one of Chrysler's first turbocharged models, with a turbo 2.2-liter four available alongside the naturally aspirated engine. It was sold only through the 1986 model year, and its direct successor was the Mitsubishi-built Chrysler Conquest. The Laser name later returned on the Plymouth Laser, a rebadged Mitsubishi.
