The Chrysler Stratus was a mid-size sedan built on the JA/JR platform, one of the so-called cloud cars, and sold in export markets as the Chrysler equivalent of the Dodge Stratus. Produced from 1995 through 2006, it offered a roomy cabin thanks to cab-forward design, with four-cylinder and V6 engines and, in its second generation, a coupe variant built by Mitsubishi. It anchored Chrysler's mid-size export lineup until production ended in 2006.
The Chrysler Stratus was a mid-size sedan and coupe sold largely in export markets, corresponding to the Dodge Stratus on the cab-forward JA platform. Its spacious cabin and contemporary styling made it Chrysler's mainstream family sedan offering in several regions during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
