STORY

Chrysler UK launched the Sunbeam in 1977 as a rear-drive hatchback, built at Linwood in Scotland. After PSA took over Chrysler's European operations, the car was sold as the Talbot Sunbeam. Its Lotus-engined version, the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, won the World Rally Championship manufacturers' title for Talbot in 1981.
