STORY
The Ami name first appeared in 1961 on a 2CV-based saloon designed to slot between the 2CV and the larger DS. It had a flat-twin engine, and the Ami 6 was notable for its reverse-raked rear window. It evolved into the restyled Ami 8 in 1969, and the line ended in 1978. The badge was revived in 2020 on a tiny two-seat electric quadricycle aimed at urban mobility. The modern Ami is technically a light quadricycle that can be driven without a full licence in many markets. Like the original, it offers accessible, no-frills transport.
