STORY

Introduced in 1982, the BX was an angular family car influenced by Bertone's design. It carried Citroën's hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension into the mid-size segment. Built under PSA, it used lightweight plastic body panels to save weight and came with petrol and diesel engines and a 4x4 version with a rally background. Over 2.3 million were sold before the Xantia replaced it in 1994.
