The C-Elysée is a compact three-box saloon launched in 2012 aimed at emerging markets such as China, North Africa and Eastern Europe, where affordable, roomy sedans remain popular. Built on a simple, robust platform with modest petrol and diesel engines, it prioritised value, space and low running costs over refinement. A race car of the same name, the C-Elysée WTCC, took Citroën to three World Touring Car Championship manufacturers' titles from 2014 to 2016.
