STORY

The Méhari was a lightweight utility and leisure vehicle launched in 1968. It had a rustproof ABS plastic body on a 2CV-based chassis, with the 2CV flat-twin engine. Its open, go-anywhere character made it popular for beaches, farms and the military, and there was even a four-wheel-drive version. Around 145,000 were built before production ended in 1988. It later inspired the electric E-Méhari.
