STORY

The Xantia was a compact executive or large family car launched in 1993 to replace the BX, with aerodynamic Bertone styling and Citroën's hydropneumatic suspension. The Activa version added an active anti-roll system, so it cornered with almost no body lean and set a well-known benchmark in the moose test. It came as a hatchback and estate with petrol and HDi diesel engines, and the C5 replaced it in 2001.
