STORY

The Born, launched in 2021, is Cupra's first fully electric model. It is built on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform that it shares with the ID.3, but tuned to be sportier. It has rear-mounted motors and battery packs of up to 77 kWh usable, and the flagship version at launch was the 231 PS e-Boost. In 2024 Cupra added the more powerful Born VZ, with around 326 PS, the brand's most powerful electric hatchback.
