STORY

The Charade was Daihatsu's main supermini from 1977 to 2000, best known for its efficient 1.0-litre three-cylinder engines, which performed above their class. The high point was the G100-series Charade GTti. Its turbocharged 993cc three-cylinder made around 100 hp, and the car also competed in rallying. The Charade combined light construction with real sporting ability, rare for a car of its size.
