STORY

The Gran Max is a compact commercial van and pick-up in the one-tonne class, launched in 2007. It is larger than the kei-sized Hijet and aimed at light business use. It is built and sold widely across Southeast Asia and is also rebadged as the Toyota Town Ace and Mazda Bongo. Its cab-over layout gives maximum cargo space in a compact size, and it is a workhorse in developing markets.
