STORY
The Naked is a kei hatchback that Daihatsu launched in November 1999, after showing a concept at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show. Its design recalls a tool box, with exposed hinges and a bumper and grille held on by visible screws, so that owners could swap parts. It had a 660 cc three-cylinder engine, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, front-wheel or four-wheel drive, and a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.
