STORY

The Sirion is Daihatsu's export-market subcompact hatchback, launched in 1998 as a slightly larger, more practical alternative to a pure kei car. The first generation was sold in Japan as the Storia and even came in a lively 1.3-litre version. The second generation was based on the Boon/Toyota Passo. Its good use of space and low running costs made it one of Daihatsu's best-known models in Europe.
