STORY

The YRV (Young Recreational Vehicle) was a compact mini-MPV sold from 2000 to 2005. It combined the practicality of a tall hatchback with an unusually sporty edge for its class. Its top version was a turbocharged 1.3-litre model with surprising performance in a small, boxy body. In spirit it was a predecessor to the later Materia and showed Daihatsu's talent for small cars with character.
