This Denza D9 EV AWD is a seven-seat electric MPV with five doors, sold from 2022. Dual motors make 483 PS and 700 Nm for all-wheel drive, powered by a 103.4 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery. It reaches 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and 180 km/h flat out.

STORY

The D9 is the model that relaunched Denza after BYD took majority control of the former BYD-Daimler joint venture. It was unveiled in 2022 and delivered from that autumn. The large MPV comes as a DM-i plug-in hybrid and as a pure-electric EV, with a lounge-style second row aimed at Chinese business and family buyers. It sold extremely well, often leading China's premium MPV sales charts ahead of the Toyota Alphard, and it made Denza BYD's premium brand.
