STORY

The Dodge Charger debuted for 1966 as a fastback on the B-body and was fully restyled for 1968. A rear-drive four-door sedan on the LX platform arrived for 2006. The 2011 LD generation, a sedan again, reached 797 hp in the Hellcat Redeye, or 807 hp with the Jailbreak package in 2023. The latest generation arrived in 2024 as the electric Charger Daytona on the STLA Large platform, built in Windsor, Ontario, with production starting in late 2024 and the first cars reaching dealers in early 2025. A gasoline Sixpack with a twin-turbo inline-six followed for the 2026 model year.
