The D2 was the Dodge range of 1936, sold under the Beauty Winner tagline after a restyle. Its engine was a 217.8 cu in L-head six rated at 87 hp, with four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, and most models rode a 116-inch wheelbase. The four-door touring sedan was the best seller, with 174,334 built that model year. The D5 that followed for the 1937 model year kept the same flathead six at the same 87 hp rating, so the 1936 cars and the 1937 cars shared one drivetrain.
The D2 was Dodge's 1936 model line, called the "Beauty Winner". It had a 3.6-liter flathead six.
