STORY

The Dodge Dart was unveiled at the 2012 Detroit auto show as a compact sedan on a widened and lengthened version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta platform, which Chrysler called Compact U.S. Wide. It was built in Belvidere, Illinois. Its 2013 range used three four-cylinders: a 2.0-litre and a turbocharged 1.4-litre, both rated at 160 hp, and a 2.4-litre at 184 hp. The Aero, with the 1.4 turbo and a six-speed manual, was EPA-rated at 41 mpg on the highway. Fiat Chrysler ended Dart production in September 2016.
