The Grand Caravan began in 1987 as the long-wheelbase version of Chrysler's minivan, which had launched in 1983. After the short Caravan ended with the 2007 model year, the Grand Caravan was the only Dodge minivan from 2008. The final vans were built at Windsor Assembly in Ontario. Production was pushed from May 2020 to the end of August, and the last van came off the line on August 21, 2020. The 2020 model year was the last.
The Dodge Grand Caravan is the extended-wheelbase version of the Caravan minivan, with more cargo space and seating room. It became one of the best-selling minivans in North America across several generations. Stow 'n Go folding seats were a signature feature in later models.
