STORY
The Omni was Dodge's American version of the Chrysler Europe Horizon, sold alongside the Plymouth Horizon from the 1978 model year. Early cars used a Volkswagen Rabbit 1.7-liter four. In the 1980s Dodge, with Shelby's input, built the Omni GLH, short for Goes Like Hell, and for 1986 Shelby bought the last 500 Omni GLH-T cars and converted them into the GLH-S. The Omni stayed in production in various forms until 1990.
