STORY

The 1994 redesign gave the Dodge Ram a front end styled after Class 8 trucks, and sales followed: the 1994 model outsold the 1993 truck by about 137,000 units, and by 1995 Dodge sold more than 400,000 Rams a year. Under the hood of the heavy-duty 2500 and 3500, the new 8.0-litre Magnum V10 made 300 hp and 450 lb-ft, while the 5.9-litre Cummins diesel made 175 hp with the manual gearbox. In February 2003 Dodge revealed the production Ram SRT-10, built around the Viper's 8.3-litre V10 and rated at 500 hp and 525 lb-ft.
