STORY

The Dodge Ramcharger was a short-wheelbase SUV built on the Ram pickup platform from the 1974 model year to 1993, with Plymouth selling a twin as the Trail Duster. First-generation trucks (1974 to 1980) had removable tops, while the redesign of 1981 welded the roof in place. A 225 cu in slant six was standard, with 318, 360, 400 and 440 cu in V8 options. Fuel injection reached the 318 in 1988 and the 360 in 1989, and Magnum-branded engines arrived in 1992 and 1993.
