STORY

The Sprinter was a Mercedes-Benz van that reached the United States in 2001 under the Freightliner name. Dodge-badged versions followed in 2003, and Dodge sold about 20,000 of them a year through roughly 350 dealers. In September 2009 a trade report said Mercedes would end Dodge sales in 2010 and move the van to its own dealer network, branded Daimler Vans USA, with a new 3.0-liter diesel, with the remainder going out as Freightliners. The Dodge badge did disappear in 2010. The catalog splits the van into a first generation for 2003 to 2006 and a second for 2007 to 2009.
