The Exeed LX launched in 2019 as one of the first models of Chery's premium Exeed brand. It was built on the platform of the Chery Tiggo 7 and used 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engines, with a CVT or a dual-clutch gearbox. It was aimed at younger buyers, with a coupe-influenced roofline and a heavily digital cabin. It was sold mainly in China and also exported. Later, updated versions with revised styling and infotainment joined it.
