250 GT SWB Berlinetta (Lusso)

Berlinetta SWB · 1959–1962RWD

The 250 GT SWB Berlinetta introduced in 1959 rode on a shortened 2400 mm wheelbase that sharpened its handling over earlier long-chassis cars, and it was among the first Ferrari road cars with disc brakes. Its 3.0-litre Colombo V12 was offered in various states of tune, and buyers could specify a steel or aluminium body. The softer, better-trimmed steel cars became known as the Lusso specification.
