STORY

Ferrari presented the 296 GT3 in late July 2022, ahead of the 24 Hours of Spa, as the successor to the 488 GT3 Evo. It is a customer racer with a mid-mounted twin-turbo V6 rated at about 600 PS (592 hp) and, by Ferrari's figure, 20 percent more downforce than the 488 GT3. The car made its competition debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January 2023. In April 2023 a Frikadelli 296 GT3 scored the car's first overall win in the Nürburgring 24 Hours Qualifiers, and in May 2023 the same team's car, shared by Nick Catsburg, Earl Bamber, David Pittard and Felipe Laser, won the Nürburgring 24 Hours outright, Ferrari's first win in that race.
