STORY

Ferrari presented the 296 GTB, a plug-in hybrid berlinetta, on 24 June 2021. The 2,992 cc 120-degree V6 makes 663 cv and is joined by a 122 kW (167 cv) electric motor, for 830 cv in total; Ferrari quotes an electric-only range of 25 km and 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The open 296 GTS, with the same powertrain, followed in a press release dated 19 April 2022. Both are road cars and are separate from the 296 GT3 racing car, which made its racing debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January 2023.
