STORY

Ferrari showed the 458 Speciale at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10 September 2013 as an upgraded 458 Italia, the car Ferrari had introduced at Frankfurt in 2009. Its 4.5-litre V8 made 605 CV at 9,000 rpm, 135 CV per litre, which Ferrari called its most powerful naturally aspirated V8. Dry weight was 1,290 kg, and Ferrari claimed 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and a Fiorano lap of 1:23.5. The open Speciale A followed at the Paris show in 2014, limited to 499 cars and about 50 kg heavier than the coupe. Side Slip Angle Control and moving aerodynamic elements front and rear completed the package.
