F12tdf

Berlinetta · 2015–2017RWD

The F12tdf, named for the Tour de France road race, was a hardcore version of the F12berlinetta built in a run of 799 cars from 2015. Its 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 rose to 780 hp, and around 110 kg was stripped out. The defining feature was a rear-wheel steering system Ferrari called Virtual Short Wheelbase, paired with wider front tyres to sharpen turn-in on a car with prodigious grip.

STORY

The F12berlinetta debuted in 2012 as Ferrari's front-engined V12 grand tourer, replacing the 599. Its 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 made roughly 730 hp, making it the most powerful road-going Ferrari in the range at launch. It was succeeded by the 812 Superfast in 2017.
