STORY
Ferrari unveiled the F430 at the Paris Motor Show in 2004. Its 4,308 cc V8 makes 490 CV at 8,500 rpm, and two features set it apart from the 360 it replaced: the E-Diff electronic differential and the Manettino dial on the steering wheel. The Spider arrived at the Geneva show in 2005, and the lighter 430 Scuderia, rated at 510 CV, in 2007. The Scuderia Spider 16M, limited to 499 cars, closed the line. Most buyers chose the F1 paddle-shift gearbox, which PistonHeads puts at 90 percent of production.
