330 GTO (4.0)

250 GTO · 1962–1963RWD

Three examples were built in 1962, fitting the 4.0-litre (3967cc) Superamerica-derived V12, around 390 hp, into a revised 250 GTO chassis. Chassis 3765LM was the only one raced by the works team; a third car, 4561SA, was completed to road specification. It gave the GTO shape more muscle than the standard 3.0-litre version.

It won the GT class of the International Championship for GT Manufacturers three years running and is among the most valuable cars in the world.
