STORY

Ferrari unveiled the Monza SP1 and SP2 at Maranello on 18 September 2018 as the first cars of its Icona series, built around the idea of the 1950s racing barchettas: the 166 MM of 1948, the 750 Monza and the 860 Monza. The SP1 has one seat and the SP2 two. Both use a 6.5-litre V12 derived from the 812 Superfast's and rated at 810 CV, and Ferrari quoted 2.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed above 300 km/h. A Virtual Wind Shield replaces the windscreen. Ferrari built 499 cars across the two versions. In September 2020 the Monza SP1 won the Compasso d'Oro for industrial design.
