STORY

Fiat introduced the 132 in 1972 to replace the 125 as its large rear-drive saloon, and like the 125 it came with twin-cam engines, at first of 1.6 and 1.8 litres. A 1977 update brought grey plastic bumpers and the clover-pattern wheels of the 131 Supermirafiori, and a 2,445 cc diesel was also built, though the 132 was not sold in Britain. The 132 proper is dated 1972 to 1981; in 1981 the car was renamed Argenta, which stayed in production until 1985.
