STORY

Fiat unveiled the Freemont at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011. It was the Dodge Journey with a Fiat badge, a re-badged and only slightly modified car built at Chrysler's Toluca plant in Mexico, sold in Europe once Dodge had left that market. Sales began in Italy on 28 May 2011 from 24,900 euros. The launch engine was the 2.0-litre Multijet turbodiesel in 140 PS and 170 PS forms with front-wheel drive and a manual gearbox; four-wheel-drive versions with the 170 PS diesel or a 3.6 V6 petrol of 280 PS (276 hp), both automatic, were announced for later. The model is dated 2011 to 2016.
