STORY

Ford launched the C-Max in 2003 as the Focus C-Max, a compact MPV built at Saarlouis, Germany. The 2007 facelift dropped the Focus name, and the second generation arrived in 2010, with the longer Grand C-Max appearing in October 2010. North America got a different C-Max: the Hybrid, a 2013 model built at Michigan Assembly in Wayne, went on sale in fall 2012, with a plug-in Energi version following. In Europe, Ford announced in March 2019 that C-Max and Grand C-Max production at Saarlouis would end in June 2019.
