STORY

The Country Squire is Ford's American full-size woodgrain station wagon. The name went to Ford's top two-door wagon in 1950, and 1951 was the last year with real wood body panels. From 1952 the body was all steel with simulated woodgrain. The 1975 LTD Country Squire rode a 121-inch wheelbase with a 400 cubic inch V8 as standard, and full-size Fords were downsized for 1979. The wagon was built through the 1991 model year and did not carry over to the 1992 Crown Victoria.
