STORY
The Expedition arrived as a 1997 model, introduced in 1996 to replace the Ford Bronco, and for its first generations it was built at Michigan Assembly in Wayne. Ford moved third-generation production to Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville in 2009. Ford revealed the all-new fourth generation in February 2017 for the 2018 model year, with production at Kentucky Truck Plant starting in September 2017, with an aluminum-alloy body and a high-strength steel frame that Ford says saved up to 300 pounds. Its 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 and 10-speed automatic made 375 hp on regular fuel in XL, XLT and Limited trims and 400 hp in the Platinum, and the long-wheelbase version was renamed Expedition Max.
