The Ixion was Ford's badge on the first-generation Mazda Premacy (CP), sold in Asian markets from 1999 with its own grille, bumper and rear lights in Ford's New Edge style. Mechanically it was the Premacy, with the same 1840 cc or 1991 cc four-cylinder petrol engines, and it was built at Hiroshima in Japan and in Taiwan. Sales in Japan began in May 1999, and the last model update in Japanese catalogues dates from December 2001. A Taiwanese version with a different grille was sold as well. The Ford i-Max, a Taiwanese rebadge of the Mazda5 (CR), the second-generation Premacy, followed in 2007.
Mazda Premacy rebadge sold by Ford in Japan from May 1999 and in Taiwan.
