The Kuga Vignale 2.0 TDCi is a facelifted Mk2 SUV built from 2016 to 2019. A 2.0-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder makes 180 PS and 400 Nm, with a 6-speed PowerShift gearbox and all-wheel drive. It reaches 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and 200 km/h.

STORY

The first Kuga was presented at the Frankfurt show in September 2007, and production began at Saarlouis in Germany in February 2008, on the platform of the Focus and C-Max. The larger second generation arrived in 2012, was built for Europe at Valencia in Spain and was sold in North America as the Escape. The third generation of 2019, on the C2 platform shared with the Focus, added a plug-in hybrid. Outside Europe the Kuga name is mostly replaced by Escape.
