The Kuga Vignale 2.5 PHEV is a plug-in hybrid SUV from the Mk3 generation, sold from 2020. A 2.5-litre Atkinson four-cylinder with electric assistance makes 225 PS, with an eCVT and front-wheel drive. It reaches 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and 200 km/h.

STORY

The first Kuga was presented at the Frankfurt show in September 2007, and production began at Saarlouis in Germany in February 2008, on the platform of the Focus and C-Max. The larger second generation arrived in 2012, was built for Europe at Valencia in Spain and was sold in North America as the Escape. The third generation of 2019, on the C2 platform shared with the Focus, added a plug-in hybrid. Outside Europe the Kuga name is mostly replaced by Escape.
