LTD Brougham 7.5 V8

STORY

This is the American Ford LTD. It began for 1965 as the top trim of the Galaxie 500 and later became a full-size line of its own. For 1979 it was downsized onto the Panther platform, about 15 inches shorter and hundreds of pounds lighter than the 1978 car. The Landau trim was renamed LTD Crown Victoria in 1980, and for 1983 the full-size car took that name while the LTD name moved to a mid-size Fox-platform car that had replaced the Granada. That mid-size LTD ended with the 1986 model year, when the Taurus took over its role. The Australian LTD was a different car.
