STORY

The Ford Maverick pickup was revealed on June 8, 2021 as a 2022 model and is built in Mexico. For 2022 to 2024 the standard 2.5-litre hybrid made 191 hp combined, front-wheel drive only, and the optional 2.0-litre EcoBoost made 250 hp. The U.S. price started at $19,995, or $21,490 with shipping. Ford used the name earlier on an American compact of 1970 to 1977 and, from 1993 in Europe, on a Nissan Terrano II built in Barcelona and sold with a Ford badge; neither is this pickup.
