STORY

The Ford Puma name first appeared in 1997 on a small sporty coupe based on the Fiesta, known for its agile handling and a Yamaha-developed engine, and for a well-known ad featuring Steve McQueen composited into a chase scene. The name was revived in 2019 for an entirely different vehicle: a compact crossover SUV that became one of Ford of Europe's best-selling models. The two Pumas share only a name and Fiesta underpinnings.
